It never fails that when I hear a sermon Sunday morning that convicts me spiritually, I am tested HARDCORE on the subject. is it just me?

Maybe I dont want the eyes of my heart opened!! 🙈

Sweet baby Jesus, can you please just let whoever I come in contact with be spiritually enlightened instantaneously with the same conviction? 🙌🏼

Re-Aligning Your Spirit: Removing Negativity Energy

Re-Aligning Your Spirit: Removing Negativity Energy.

Some may call it bad luck, but it is actually negative energy that can cause life to turn upside down, or at least feel that way. Depression, fear, anger, arguments, psychic vampires (negative people), sadness, unhappiness, etc clings like Saran Wrap to your aura field and attracts more of the same situations, along with exhaustion, fatigue, unhappiness, an unsettled feeling and sometimes even health conditions. Just as a furnace filter needs to be replaced or cleansed, so does your energy filter. How often you need to complete an energy cleanse is dependent upon your personal and professional situation.

There are numerous ways that you can cleanse yourself, your office, your home and even your car. Any where that you spend your time is fair game to have residual energy, good and bad energy, attach to you.

Ways to Cleanse Yourself

Brush Off

Brush yourself with hands diagonally across the body from finger tips, down arms, down legs and torso, and then throw all “bad” energy on the floor to get rid of it. You can visualize a drain by your feet where it departs.

White Light Protection

Visualize an egg-shaped sphere of brilliant white light that completely surrounds you from head to toe. Visualize that he light getting brighter and brighter until it creates a barrier of protection around you.  Depending upon your religious beliefs, you can simply say a prayer or ask for your guides and angels to continue to surround you with the white light of protection and that it keeps you from harm and negative influences. You can also do this for others, including pets.

Sea salt is used to neutralize the environment and oneself. If possible, get unrefined sea salt along with Epsom salts (and you can even mix with your herbs). Draw a warm bath and relax. When you are completed, drain the bath, but don’t hop out, instead think of all the things that are troubling you, and visualize them drawing from your body and draining with the water, until every drop of is gone.

Ways to Cleanse Home

Draw Reiki symbols with hands/fingers to clear spaces. It is important to draw the symbols on walls, ceilings, windows, doorways and floors. Just follow your intuition to guide you to what should be cleansed.

Many herbs such as basil, lavender, peppermint, rosemary, sage and cinnamon have protective qualities against negativity. You can set them out in a pretty dish to help absorb the negativity, you can burn the herbs by using incenses of those properties and you can bathe with them.

Smudging with sage (I prefer white sage) is a simple and powerful way in which to remove negative energy from the area. Place a few leaves in a fire proof container or a albacore shell, and light the leaves or light the bundle. The flame should go out in a short time and the sage will begin to smolder. Fan the smoke with your hand or feather.  Say a blessing of protection, or prayer, as you walk around.  Fan the smoke around you imagining it passing through you.  It flows through you drawing out all of the imperfections that have collected within yourself.  I recommend going to the farthest part of your house and work yourself towards the front, opening a window where you can draw all of the negative energy out. Don’t forget to smudge closets, basements, nooks and crevices, etc.

Smudging yourself on a daily basis can also be very helpful in keeping yourself balanced and can help if you are around emotionally unbalanced people.

Frankincense, Sandalwood, Myrrh and Palo Santo also work to remove negativity.

Holy Water

Those of certain faith practices believe that by making the sign of the cross in and around the house helps to call on the Divine in order to dispel negative energy.

Sea Salt

Place a glass or bowl of water with sea salt in it. Set in a corner or under the bed to capture negative energies. Dump and replace each day. Dumping to Mother Earth helps to transmute the negative to positive.

White candles work wonderful to remove negative energy, and by adding scents to the candles such as lavender, vanilla and cinnamon it helps even more.

Since we all have a vibration, it makes sense that music can help realign our soul. By playing an instrument yourself, or simply putting on your favorite music, and spending time thinking of all that you want, instead of what you don’t want, can help re-tune your space and your spirit.

Ways to Cleanse Office

Most offices don’t love an open flame, so visualization works best when you work in a populated place.

Visualize a vortex swirling around and ask that all negative and/or dark energies be picked up by the vortex. Then visualize the vortex moving throughout the office building until it exits out your roof. Ask that the angels and guides neutralize and dissipate them. Don’t forget to thank them.

No matter how you decide to cleanse yourself, your home or your office, know that positive attracts positive and when you are around any type of negative situation or person, in some form, it will begin to weigh on you. Although you cannot see the energy, others can sense it. Spending just a small part of time doing self-care and soul cleansing could end up changing your life.

Destine Storm

des·tine[ déstin ]
preordain:to intend or decide that somebody will have a particular fate or something will have a particular use

storm[ stawrm ]
1. violent weather:a disturbance in the air above the Earth, with strong winds and usually also with rain, snow, sleet, or hail and sometimes lightning and thunder
2. heavy rain or snow:a heavy fall of rain, snow, or sleet, often occurring with strong winds

I have a very strong feeling that I am about to be caught up in a destine storm. It feels like a coming to Jesus moment. It feels like whatever is about to come will reset my course, perhaps in the direction I was always meant to be going, but the winds of change are blowing.

There is this charge in the air, in my body, in my thoughts and words. I can almost see the storm clouds gathering on the horizon. There’s almost that damp, cleansing smell.

When I have felt this way previously, I have never been wrong. It’s coming. I guess all that remains to be determined, as when any storm approaches, is what I should do about it. Is there something I should do to prepare?

I’m not fearful this time. That is new. Instead of going to hide in the basement, I feel the need to approach like a storm chaser. Im not excited. I feel more curious than anything and i want to get all the information I can out of it.

Im preparing all those little, data recording, flying, doo-hickey thingamabobs in my being to ensure they are sucked up into the vortex and so that when they are spit back out there is something to be learned. Im turning inward. Inspecting my spiritual, mental and emotional feelers. Taking time to just listen to music, have feelings, write about them, talk about them and really feel them. Meditating to clear out any other distraction. Im preparing physically. Trying to get enough sleep, drink enough water, avoid alcohol and get exercise. I know I need to approach with strength and courage. I need to hold on. If this storm is about to rip everything around me to shreds, I cannot be a fatality and I will need to rebuild right here, where I am, as I am.

New Years Resolutions

I didn’t make any concrete resolutions for this year, but I had some pretty resolved ideas of things I wanted, no needed, to do this year.

For example: I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. One of the things I resolved to do this year was not so much to lose weight but to transform my life – physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually… This is a multi-faceted thing. I want to get my life back. I don’t mean that I’ve been unhappy – I have been more happy in the last 3 years, even in the midst of great suffering, than I can ever recall, but like a lot of mothers I’ve spent the last few years a little lost in my kids. I don’t regret that in anyway. They needed me. We needed each other. We went through a divorce and remarriage, reestablishing ourselves and we’ve finally gotten to this good place where we are ok with our lot in life and all that involves from that past or that might carry over from the past. Right now is a time when I actually have the ability to take more time for me and I need to.

Physically, one of the ways that I am attempting to keep this on track is that I’ve joined a medically based fitness center. With some of my health issues and because my physical therapy has been run out of the same building it made a lot of common sense to be able to have child care on site with a membership and continue my workouts as well. One great thing about this is that as a member they start you out with an assessment and an exercise prescription. They redo the prescription every couple months so you don’t get bored and the assessment is done every six months to check your progress and set new goals and keep you on track. I think that’s awesome. I’m actually kinda excited about July and finding out where I am. I am also happy to report that I made the Consistency Club last month and got the added bonus of losing 8lbs. And in another small, but HUGE feat for me, I have stopped biting my nails. I heard that it takes 21 days to pick up or break a habit so – I’ve broken a bad one and picked up a good one. Go me!

Spiritually, I’ve decided that I need to get back to church more. I’m not big on organized religion per se but I am not so dumb as to believe that I can completely neglect my spirit and feel honkey dorey. I’ve seen so many people who have it all and feel empty and go: “Why aren’t I happy?” Hey – it’s called your soul – you’re neglecting it! Now, I’m not saying that there are not other things that people can do that fuels their soul, it just so happens that for me, going to church – for the most part, helps me reconnect spiritually and shed the negative stuff. It gets me back to a true place of knowing that come what may – it will work as out as it should and I will find my way.

Emotionally and Mentally, the plan was to get back to blogging because lets face it in order to keep one’s sanity you have to keep your sanity and blogging is a heck of a lot cheaper than seeing a therapist. So – this is a start to keeping that promise to myself. I’m a little behind and I could make a bunch of excuses, but the truth is that its important and I need to make the time and so I will.

It appears I’m off and running and have finally put these plans to paper. I always hate sharing these kinds of things because of the accountability factor but – the last resolution deals with living with more integrity. I don’t think this is something that I required large amounts of work on, but something I think we could all strive to improve and on that note: I have put it out there and am making myself accountable.

Time will tell.
