The boys are at a fishing derby with their and Uncle Reggie. Diva is on a “date” with her Papa. I stayed home to finish up my legal ethics midterm paper. Doesn’t that sound fun? It’s lengthy, but has all the substantial backing and requirements, so I guess it’s good. Thankfully, the university has this lovely service to submit your papers for proofreading before you actually submit to your professor. Can’t wait to see what they say.
School has been going well. I am maintaining a 4.0gpa in my classes. Considering everything that’s been going on, I’m pretty pleased with myself for holding my own. It doesn’t make me feel as accomplished as potty training but, it’s good. You really have no idea how much poop and pee can mean to you, until you are a parent. lol.
I’m wearing a skirt today…make a note of it.
I’ve promised my father to attend church with him tomorrow morning. That’s what he wanted for father’s day. I should go pack tissues in my purse now, as church services always have this wacky emotional effect on me. I’m sure it’s just the reawakening of the spirit after being neglected, but it can be a little embarrassing.
Also a little odd because the pastor of the church (here in Ohio) was the choir leader at the church I attended from the age of about 5 – through the time I graduated high school in VIRGINIA. His wife gave me and my sister piano lessons as kids. I used to baby sit for his daughter. She’s 16 now!!! Weird. Also a little endearing as he always asks us to join his family for lunch afterwards and we talk about Virginia stuff and he always pesters me about joining church choir and “using my talents.”
Happy Father’s Day to all the Daddies out there.
Quote of the day: “Any man can be a father, but it takes a real man to be a Dad.”
